You only have to pick up the phone to receive technical help. The technical department also undertakes quality control auditing for major food companies.
Pest control training
We believe the basis of good pest management is knowledge and we offer a wide variety of courses for different levels of experience and knowledge from basic principles of pest control, to specialist courses and RSPH qualifications. Killgerm was the first training provider to offer the prestigious RSPH Level 3 Diploma in Pest Management.
Product stewardship
Our company philosophy is very much based on high product stewardship, ensuring as much as possible the correct handling and use of the products we supply. To help you fulfil legal requirements and protect the environment we provide a Waste Disposal Scheme.
Wherever possible we aim to lessen our environmental impact, issuing you with information on the latest legislation and guidance notes on how to perform environmental assessments. We have also helped to pioneer industry initiatives such as the Campaign for Responsible Rodenticide Use (CRRU), which promotes the safe use of rodenticides through best practice.
Killgerm Chemicals operates a quality management system certified to ISO 9001:2008 and has been registered with the British Agrochemical Standards Inspection Scheme (BASIS) for many years.
Industry involvement
We dedicate a significant amount of our profit towards promoting and growing the industry through our extensive work with the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health’s (CIEH) National Pest Advisory Panel (NPAP).
A keen supporter of trade associations, Killgerm has maintained active membership in all major pest control associations including the British Pest Control Association (BPCA), the National Pest Technicians Association (NPTA) as well as associations overseas.
Staff
The most important asset in any company is its staff and Killgerm Group believes in assisting staff to obtain higher qualifications. We have provided long-term employment to staff under a number of Government-backed schemes and also regularly provide short-term employment for overseas students who wish to improve their English.

By supporting and funding university research projects, we have added to the scientific knowledge in the pest management industry. By providing speakers for seminars throughout the world, we have assisted in the dissemination of information on a wide range of subjects.
The Environment
All companies should be prepared to protect the environment so that those who follow us can enjoy a safe environment where they work, live and play. Killgerm Group takes a very serious view of its responsibilities to the environment. We operate an industry supported waste disposal scheme whereby redundant pesticides or used packaging are disposed of.
Killgerm is registered under all relevant industry schemes, such as the British Agrochemical Supply Industry Scheme – a voluntary scheme whereby warehouses are inspected to ensure that they meet the highest standards.
We are a major supporter of the UK Chartered Institute of Environmental Health, which is the professional body for environmental health officers in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. We contribute regularly to the work of the CIEH’s National Pest Advisory Panel.
The Local Community
Helping others in the community who need assistance is the duty of every responsible company. Staff members are regular participants in fund-raising events, and Killgerm Group supports these wherever possible.
Killgerm Group is particularly keen to assist charities and these include Water for Kids, Second Chance Headway, Macmillan, Leeds Mencap, Ossett Schools and Pinderfields Hospital Childrens’ Ward.
