Training (3)
Killgerm mainly supplies products labelled for ‘professional use’. The Control Of Pesticides Regulations demands that users of such products must have received adequate instruction, guidance and be competent. Consequently, we ask for evidence of training prior to supplying professional use products.
Killgerm offer ‘bespoke’ training courses on all industry matters. See the Bespoke Pest Control Training Courses
Bedbugs (1)
There is no evidence that bedbugs, Cimex lectularius, transmit disease-causing organisms to humans, although some people can develop allergic reactions to their ‘bites’.
Insect (3)
Insecticides approved for use in grain stores are classed as agricultural pesticides and it is a legal requirement that the user must hold a certificate of competence such as a PA1 & PA6 (or meet one of the qualifications for exemption from so doing – consult the Training Code of Practice for using Plant Protection Products, available from www.pesticides.gov.uk). Visit the NPTC website for details regarding PA1 & PA6 certificates www.nptc.org.uk or contact your local agricultural college for training.

No, but they should only to be treated with pesticides as a last resort. It is often possible to physically remove the ladybirds to the outside by using a vacuum.
Rodents (1)
Do not use anticoagulant resistance as an excuse for treatment failure until you have consulted the Rodenticide Resistance Action Group guidance document entitled ‘Anticoagulant resistance in the Norway rat and Guidelines for the management of resistant rat infestations in the UK’, available from www.bpca.org.uk/rrag
Bees (1)
No bee species in the UK are protected, but they should only be treated with pesticides as a last resort. Pesticide treatment of solitary bee species is unnecessary. Pesticide treatment of Bumble bees and Honey bees should only be undertaken if the bees present a threat to public health and all other options have been exhausted. You must not proceed with a Honey bee treatment until you have read the essential guidance. Please click HERE
Other (2)
These assessments are specific to the task and site and need to be completed by the person / company planning to undertake the work. Killgerm use a specialist consultant to run a specific ‘risk management’ training course, to enable Pest Controllers to undertake their own risk assessments and method statements.
Pricing is a sensitive issue. Find out what your competitors are charging and use that as a guide.
