RatMat takes second place in Pest Best Product Awards
RatMat, the ground-breaking pest control innovation, has received second place in the Pest Best Product Awards, the independent product awards program judged by readers of Pest Magazine.
RatMat, which uses similar principles to an electric fence, is an innovative, humane, cost effective and easy-to-use solution to protect cars, industrial machinery, stock and much more from rats, mice and other rodents. The scalable flooring device, which gives rodents an unpleasant shock to deter them, was invented by Dr Toby Bateson and developed with renowned Wadebridge-based industrial design consultants Dufort Associates. After extensive research, six years in design and two years of product testing, the product is exclusively available from Killgerm Chemicals.
The RatMat tiles can be used as a long term solution to prevent rats and mice causing expensive damage to property such as cars, trucks, combine harvesters and other vehicles or property. It is safe, scalable and transportable and doubles as a hardwearing floor surface.
The award was presented to Dr Toby Bateson and Louise Coldwell, Head of Sales & Customer Services at Killgerm. Commenting on the award, Dr Bateson, says: “I am thrilled to receive this amazing award. We have worked hard for years to reach this point; the product wouldn’t be what it is today without the tireless enthusiasm of my colleagues. Thank you so much to everyone who voted for us.” Louise added “We are very proud that RatMat has been awarded second place in the 2019 Best Product Award! The RatMat is a superb, unique product and at Killgerm we are thrilled to have a great product like this to sell. The recognition is truly deserved.”
